Les Schwab of Orangevale Donates Tires to Support the Orangevale-fair oaks food bank

The Orangevale-Fair Oaks Food Bank is rolling a little smoother these days, thanks to a generous donation from Les Schwab of Orangevale through their Tires for Purpose program.

The Food Bank, which provides groceries and essential resources to families in need throughout our community, depends on its trailer to haul food, supplies, and donations. With brand-new tires now installed, the trailer is ready to safely and reliably make those important trips—keeping the mission moving forward.

"With new tires on our trailer, we're able to expand into off-site outreach programs, food drives, and community events," said Andrea Scollay, Director of the Food Bank. "Our trailer has been sidelined for the past year because of this need. Now, thanks to Les Schwab and their Tires for Purpose program, we can move forward safely and confidently."

The excitement is shared by the Orangevale-Fair Oaks Community Foundation, which oversees the Food Bank. "This is such a wonderful program, and we are so grateful to have been chosen," said Angela Lee, OV-FO Community Foundation representative. "When we heard we'd be receiving new tires for the Food Bank trailer, we couldn't have been more excited. Thank you to Jeff Kincade and the entire team at Les Schwab Orangevale for their support of both the Food Bank and our community."

The Tires for Purpose program was designed to give back to nonprofits who are doing good in their local neighborhoods. By donating new tires, Les Schwab helps organizations like the Orangevale-Fair Oaks Food Bank reduce costs, improve safety, and keep vital programs on the road.

"Les Schwab is all about strengthening and investing in the communities we serve and our crew was thrilled the award went to the Food Bank trailer," said Jeff Kincade, Store Manager of the Orangevale Les Schwab. "We believe in the important work the Food Bank is doing and are proud to support their efforts."
